SELEX Galileo Transnational Graduate Programme - UK

SELEX Galileo are proud to be accredited in the UK by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Institute of Physics.

This means that these Institutions recognise that participation in the Programme counts towards full membership of these Professional bodies leading to Chartership. The Company offers business and engineering graduates financial support for professional training in pursuance of accreditation.

The benefits section of this website will explain the competitive advantages we offer over other companies. This comes as a result of being part of the Finmeccanica Group with its International reputation and wide scope of opportunities for graduates.
What happens when I join?
The Trans-national Graduate Programme gets off to a flying start with an exciting induction for all new graduates focused on teambuilding and developing an understanding of the SELEX Galileo business environment and the importance of our customer.

Graduates will return to demanding roles within the business, working on real projects with real responsibility. Some graduates will have the opportunity to undertake placements at different sites and in different parts of the Business and so gain significant exposure and experience over the 2 years.

All graduates are encouraged to have a career development plan that is monitored by you the graduate, your Line Manager, Human Resources and your Mentors - so there is ongoing support to champion your career progression at all times.

There is a buddy scheme, site visits and an night out to meet with other graduates before you start. This is the first step in joining a cross national network and community of like-minded graduates. SELEX Galileo runs a Mentoring scheme to give you additional support and objective career advice from senior managers and leaders.

In addition to the schedule of training activities, there are ongoing opportunities for stretch assignments, projects and activities throughout the two years. These include working with pupils from local schools under the Education Liaison strategy and going to Universities across the UK to attend career fairs and employer presentations on behalf of the Company. These experiences all add to the first class, on-the-job training that makes the Trans-national Graduate Programme interesting, diverse and challenging.
