SELEX Galileo contracted to supply further Grifo radars to Brazillian Air Force
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, and Israel's Aeroeletronica International Ltd, an ELBIT Systems Ltd company, have signed a contract for the supply of 11 further Grifo F/BR radars to upgrade Brazilian F-5 planes. The Grifo has been in service with the Forca Aerea Brasiliera during the last 10 years, delivering unrivalled situational awareness and strike capability to its pilots.

SELEX Galileo's Gabbiano radars selected for Elbit Systems' UAS
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, been selected by Elbit Systems to supply its Gabbiano radar family for installation aboard Elbit Systems' Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). The Gabbiano T20 radar will be installed aboard the Hermes 450 while the most powerful version of the Gabbiano family, the T200, has been chosen for the Hermes 900.

SELEX Galileo has successfully completed the first significant development milestone on the Common Defensive Aids System Technology Demonstrator Programme (CDAS TDP). CDAS TDP is an important contract placed by the UK MoD to support the aims of the UK strategy for Air Platform Protection. The TDP is led by SELEX Galileo.

Northrop Grumman Corporation and SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) aimed at jointly pursuing the international directional infrared countermeasures (DIRCM) market. Capitalizing on their unique experience and capability in the development and production of laser-based DIRCM systems, the document further strengthens the existing industry-leading DIRCM strategic alliance and enables the two companies to aggressively target the "rest-of-the-world" DIRCM marketplace.

SELEX Galileo Seaspray radar to be installed on Finnish Border Guard surveillance aircraft
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that the Company's Seaspray 5000E Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar is to be installed on Dornier 228 maritime patrol aircraft operated by the Finnish Border Guard (Rajavartiolaitos). The contract from SSC will see the 5000E variant of the Seaspray radar family installed and integrated with SSC's maritime surveillance system on the Dornier 228s.

SELEX Galileo expands into aerostat market with AESA radar contract
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, has been awarded a contract by Worldwide Aeros Corporation, a US prime contractor for aerostat vehicles, to deliver its Seaspray 7500E Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar. The Seaspray radar will equip an Aeros ground-surveillance tethered aerostat balloon operated by the Republic of Korea Army, marking SELEX Galileo's expansion into the rapidly growing aerostat market segment.

Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) on display for the first time. Without changing the airframe
of the current Falco high end Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TUAV), Falco EVO features

Guardia di Finanza and SELEX Galileo celebrate 10 years of success with the ATOS system
The Guardia di Finanza Air-Naval Operational Command based in Pratica di Mare and SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, are celebrating ten years of operations of the ATOS aerial surveillance system on board ATR 42 MP aircraft produced by Alenia Aeronautica, currently used by the Maritime Exploration Squadron (GEA). The Maritime Exploration Squadron, the Guardia di Finanza's airborne division, uses fixed wing aircraft to ensure the entire Mediterranean basin's coverage in the achievement of EU maritime borders protection.

SELEX Galileo's Janus-N passes Italian Navy acceptance trials
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, is pleased to announce that the Italian Navy (Marina Militare) has completed trials of four Janus-Naval (Janus-N) electro-optical turrets and has formally accepted the systems. The Janus-N systems were installed on four patrol boats (Classe Comandanti) of the Italian Navy which are regularly used in Italy for immigration control and operate out of the Navy's harbour at Augusta, Sicily.

SELEX Galileo signs logistic support contracts worth more than EUR 36 Million
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, has recently been awarded contracts worth more than 36 million Euros to carry out integrated logistic support work relating to a number of programmes and systems. These include the Company's Grifo radar, the Eurofighter Typhoon, simulators and the Mirach aerial target drone. Of these contracts, 14.5 million Euros were awarded to SELEX Galileo to support two international air forces's Grifo radars.

SELEX Galileo launches new widescreen format Condor IV thermal imager
SELEX Galileo will be unveiling innovative new sensor technologies at this year's SPIE Defense, Security & Sensing exhibition in Orlando, Florida. The exhibition runs from the 25th to 29th April. The Company, part of the Finmeccanica Group, will be launching its new Condor IV thermal imager, the first dual waveband sensor with co-located pixels to produce images in a widescreen format (860x480 pixels on 20?m pitch). The detectors use proven MOVPE technology and are available for purchase at competitive prices. They have already attracted interest from international customers.
